Women's skirts are probably the most feminine element of the entire wardrobe. Fashion changes very quickly. Not once or twice a year, but practically constantly. Skirt importers and their manufacturers are constantly releasing new patterns, styles and colors to the market at maximum speed to satisfy all customers.

More experiments than ever

Recent years have been a real craze. Each skirt manufacturer has introduced some modified designs to its offer. This is a classic midi skirt, but with an asymmetrical slit. Or a mini, but extended with lace. This is a completely abstract asymmetrical skirt. With a lower or higher waist, made of different materials. With additional decorative elements in or in a minimalist tone. These experiments can also be seen in the offer prepared each year by the skirt importer and all wholesalers. There are more and more atypical solutions, playing with form, changed materials. Color swaps or transitioning to the permanent offer of such models that were at most a curiosity a few years ago. As happened in the case of skirts with detachable suspenders.

More experiments, more types

Each subsequent experiment by manufacturers means the need to clarify the division of skirts. This has to be done, because otherwise a skirt wholesaler would not be able to even aesthetically present its offer. Only the basic division into mini, midi and maxi has been left untouched. However, it was very imprecise from the very beginning, and the boundaries were a bit blurred. Nevertheless, it is already a starting point during the search. A rarely used division, which nevertheless says a lot about the shape of the skirt, is the technical division. By cut: pencils, trapezoids, dresses sewn from a circle or from wedges.

A much more useful and more frequently used division is by fit: tight, wide, flared, mermaid, etc. However, there is a problem here. Neither are these shapes precisely defined, nor is their list closed. Often, a clothing manufacturer will use one term, but a skirt wholesaler another. What's more - it is not uncommon for a skirt manufacturer to use a category that has not existed at all before. This causes a lot of confusion and makes it difficult to make a choice.

When it comes to fashion and the description of trends, one feature is particularly practical. Skirts are divided into straight, pleated, with ruffles (short, long, wide or narrow). While all other features are quite clearly intertwined, these are clearly separated, and the periods of their maximum popularity do not overlap.

Many importers of skirts use an additional criterion to simplify the search, which is the way of dressing. After all, a skirt can be fastened with buttons, a zipper, or it can have a narrow or wide elastic band pulled into the waist. And recently, skirts tied or fastened with a decorative belt inserted into the loops have been fashionable. While the way of dressing itself does not have a great impact on how the dress will fit, it does have a great impact on the comfort of wearing. Admittedly, this results primarily from individual habits. But anyone who observes fashion trends knows that the manufacturer of skirts always tries to construct at least part of the offer. In such a way that it satisfied those ladies who care about fashionable solutions.

Of course, all this does not end the matter. Often the most important and most noticeable feature of a skirt is its color and pattern. The color can be uniform, it can be tones, gradients, patterns or patterns. You can apply decals to skirts, embroider them, you can dye them in the most even way. You can also simply sew them from materials of different colors. This is a preliminary outline, because if you look more closely, you can distinguish, among others, floral, abstract, geometric patterns and many, many others. And these categories are necessarily not precise and no one claims that a skirt wholesaler cannot offer clothing that will combine various of these motifs.

Decorative motifs are the ones that change the fastest. Admittedly, a few well-known patterns are constantly being used. But apart from them, the aesthetic dominance is constantly being shifted in the least expected directions. What was fashionable last year will most likely move to at least the second league this season. The fastest to pick up such changes is the importer of skirts, who has access to offers from the entire market, but right after that the idea is picked up by some domestic producer of skirts and a few weeks later most production lines are set in such a way as to exploit current trends to the maximum before their popularity fades. At the same time, of course, fashion for other elements of clothing is also changing, but it is skirts that change the most dynamically and it is in this segment that the changes are the most far-reaching.
